1.) Jaw Problems aka TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems
TMJ issues usually have the following symptoms: clicking in jaw, pain in jaw, headache in temporal region. TMJ pain can be caused from clenching of teeth, grinding teeth, past dental procedure in which jaw was opened for long periods of time, trauma, plus much more.
Chiropractors adjust the temporomandibular joint decreasing pain and reducing symptoms.
2.) Sinus/Allergy issues
Congestion, Stuffy nose, Sinus Infections, Runny eyes, Coughing, Runny nose are all symptoms of sinus and allergy issues.

Accidents happen, the frustration is after an accident what should you do. After an accident you should always call 911. The police along with an ambulance will come to access any immediate injuries and write a police report. I always suggest to my patients if you are not going to go to the ER with the ambulance have someone pick you up to take you to the ER or urgent care. There they can take X-rays and examine you for any broken bones, internal bleeding, etc. Many times they will give you pain relievers and or muscle relaxers. The unfortunate part is this does not fix your injury. Pain relievers turn off the receptors that tells your brain you have pain so in turn it just masks the pain. Just like you wouldn't expect a computer virus to go away by simply turning off your computer the same things holds true for your body.
Many times people think they are fine on the day of the accident so they decide not to seek care. It can take your body 72 hours to 1 week to feel the effects of an auto accident. So do not wait seek care right away.
Waiting to seek care could possibly lead to further injury and a longer recovery time. Even permanent damage to your spine and body. Thus, seek care right away.

**Please note garlic is very potent. You may smell like garlic for a while. But its your call get rid of the cough and smell like you were trying to keep vampires away or keep coughing and have everyone stare at you all day long asking you are you okay.
A spoonful of raw local honey with a squeeze of lemon works great especially during the spring and fall seasons. I however find that since this is attributed to those with spring/fall allergies it does not work as well in the other months. The reason raw, local honey is best compared to your grocery store honey is each area has specific allergens. Thus the local honey is tailored to those specific plants/flowers/and trees.
This tea is is one of my favorites for coughs and colds. Your body will thank you for this one. Take fresh (1/2 cup) garlic cloves, peeled, cut ginger (1 cup) , and cut a whole lemon in half, put it in your tea pot. I have a tea pot with an infuser already attached. It makes a huge difference with the strength of your tea. Boil and let tea seep in the goodness of the garlic, ginger, and lemon for at least 5 minutes. This gives it an opportunity to cool a little as well. Then add honey to taste.

Several years ago the newest craze was juicing. I was so surprised at the traction juicing fruits and vegetables was getting. So what is juicing. Juicing is the process in which you take fruits and vegetables and transform them into juice. If you are trying to give the gut a break then this may work for you, if it is just a day to a few days. Juicing although can be beneficial in short spurts, it is not suggested for long term nutrition. You should also combine fruits and vegetables with your juicing because juicing only fruit can spike your blood sugar. The disadvantage of juicing is it removes many of the nutrients plus the insoluble fiber that the fruits and vegetables provide. These nutrients and fiber helps our body stay regular.
So what about good ole blending. Blending is perfect for those who want to keep all the nutrients. It breaks down the fruits and vegetables without removing the essential nutrients and fiber in it. With the fiber intact blending allows you to stay full longer and keeps your digestive system regular.
At our home everyone drinks a smoothie daily. The trick to having a healthy green smoothie is add more vegetables than fruit. My favorite smoothie recipe is:
2 cups of Spinach
1 cup of Kale
1 whole carrot
1/2 cup Silken tofu
1 whole avocado
1 3/4 cup of water

Homemade cough syrup:
1.) Onion/honey syrup: Cut up onion in rings; then layer honey, with layer of onion, until onion layers are finished. Basically you are making a honey onion lasagna. Cover container and leave for 8-12 hours. This remedy is perfect to do at night. Take cough syrup every 2-3 hours or as needed to tame cough.
2.) Local Honey: Take a spoonful of local honey with lemon every 2-3 hours.
1.) Ginger, honey, lemon tea.
2.) 2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 spoonful of honey, and lemon in a cup of warm water. Drink daily at the first sign of a cold.
Other methods to fight a cold:
To keep everyone in your home healthy add frankincense oil, eucalyptus, and tea tree oil to a spray bottle to purify the home at the first signs of a family member's cold symptoms. Melaleuca which is also known as tea tree oil can be used alone to cleanse home and surfaces.
Remedy: Drink plenty of water, coconut water, and or pedialyte to bring your fluid balance back to normal.
-A subluxation is a slight misalignment in a joint. When a joint is subluxated especially near the cervical region it can cause tension headaches.

3. TMJ subluxation
-TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) is the joint that connects your temporal bone and mandible. This joint is often subluxated with chewing, dental procedures, grinding teeth, plus much more.
Remedy: Chiropractic care: At my practice we adjust the TMJ placing the joint back in place, which in turn can diminish the headache.

-Sinus headaches are caused by inflammation of the sinuses that causes congestion.
